Erasmus+
Erasmus+ is the EU Programme, implemented by the European Commission, in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020. One of the aims of the programme is to fighting rising levels of unemployment by providing young people with the skills required by the labour market and a competitive economy gained during international study and internships periods. Investment in human capital will benefit individuals, institutions, organisations and society as a whole by contributing to growth and ensuring prosperity and social inclusion in Europe and beyond.
Erasmus+ brings together seven existing EU programmes in the fields of Education, Training, and Youth – Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci, Grundtvig, Erasmus, Jean Monnet, Erasmus Mundus, Tempus e.c.
The Programme is funded by EU budget – participants of the Programme’s activities receive grant, nevertheless participants of traineeships may receive additional income from placement organisation.

BENEFITS
Main benefits of the new program Erasmus+ that improves mobilities activities in Higher Education:
- Student can study as Erasmus+ exchange student and / or be trainee within the framework of Erasmus+ program (for in total 12 months) in each of study circles – first cycle (Bachelor studies or equal, including short-cycle studies), second cycle (Master studies) and third cycle (Doctoral studies).
- Recent Graduates Traineeships – graduates may as well apply for Erasmus+ traineeship grant. The application shall be submitted in the last of study year and the traineeship shall be completed within the year after graduation.

Erasmus+ includes a strong international dimension (i.e. cooperation with Partner Countries) that expand potential cooperation options for the students and staff exchange.
- Linguistic support – students and trainees are provided with lingustic support via e-learning platform Online Linguistic Support (OLS) in 6 languages (English, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, French). Students shall accomplish on-line language assessment before and in the end of long-term mobilities. Students are provided with on-line language courses, if needed.

Erasmus+ is the new EU programme for education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020. Erasmus+ offers opportunities to study, train, gain work experience or volunteer abroad and one of its strategic objectives is to strengthen linguistic skills and support language learning.

The Online Linguistic Support (OLS) supports language learning for Erasmus+ mobility participants. The OLS offers participants in Erasmus+ long-term mobility activities (Key Action 1) the opportunity to assess their skills in the foreign language(s) they will use to study, work or volunteer abroad. In addition, selected participants may follow an online language course to improve their competence.
