LCC collaborates with University of UdelaR

Three years ago, the collaborative project with Latin American countries was initiated and as a result, contacts with University of UdelaR (Universidad de Uruguay) were established.  In order to promote the internationalization of LCC and UdelaR, a project application for a visit to one of the LCC International Relations Department staff members within ERASMUS + Call for Proposals was submitted and funded. The visit took place from May 19th to 25th, during which several tasks were implemented, such as getting acquainted with the study programs offered by the university, the internship opportunities, the cooperation process between the universities of Uruguay, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.

UdelaR is a leading university in Uruguay amongst of 12 higher education institutions in total. The number of students is 16,000 or so, the study programs represent different directions. LCC representative visited the faculties with whom the cooperation can be productive for both involved parties – the Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Media and Communication, School of Bellas Artes.  The co-operation contract with  the Faculty of Media and Communication as signed. Considering the importance of the field practice in higher professional education, it was especially valuable to get acquainted with UdelaR  field practice partners – Auditorio Nacional del Sodre Dra. Adela Reta Concert Hall, technology partners RedClara and Cultural Education Center ‘Anilla Cultural.’
