LATVIAN CULTURE COLLEGE VISIT TO TBILISI STATE ACADEMY OF ARTS

During the period of October 10 till October 16, 2016 lecturer from Latvian Culture College was giving lectures to the students and personnel of Tbilisi State Academy of Arts within the framework of Erasmus+ international mobilities’ project.

Latvian Culture College has successful cooperation experience with Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. There are two directions of cooperation: development of Light Design and Creative Industries study programs and mutual exchange of experience of innovations in the mentioned study directions.

Within the framework of Erasmus+ staff exchange mobility, lecturer from Latvian Culture College has opportunity to get insight into study process organization at Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, as well as to give lectures to the last year students of architecture, restoration, fashion design and art history students on the following topics: allocation principles of EU funding, development tendencies in project management and the most significant investments into cultural sector in Latvia, and development and role in economic growth of creative industries.

Outcomes and impact of the lectures held were fruitful both for receiving institution and for college, because of gained knowledge on projects implemented within Georgia culture projects funding and on activities that are in the development process. This knowledge is best practice example of specific of projects implementation in Partner countries.

During the visit, representative of Latvian Culture College held meetings with George Gugushvili, rector, professor, Nino Gaganidze, Head of the Educational Quality Enhancement Department, Maya Kipiani, Head of Foreign Affairs Department to discuss further cooperation possibilities and content of already planned exchange mobilities between both HEI. Additionally, the visit to Sokhumi University was implemented for setting goals and specific topics for the visit of lecturer from Sokhumi University to Latvian Culture College on spring 2017.

 

LAdministrative staff exchange between Latvian Culture College and Tbilisi State Art Academy was implemented by Latvian Culture College within the framework of Erasmus+ program and co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.

Erasmus+ is the EU Programme, implemented by the European Commission, in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020. It provides funding and support for organizations to operate projects consistent with its objectives and which encourage European exchange, co-operation and learning. Erasmus+ is funded by the European Union. Erasmus+ funding is available to all sectors (or fields) of formal, informal and non-formal education. Since year 2015, Erasmus+ funding is available for international cooperation for projects between Program and Partner countries.
